Comenius Lifelong Learning ProgrammeThe main goal of the Comenius Programme is to encourage language education through cultural dialogue and to enhance the quality of education by cooperating with the European countries involved.  All of Our students will take part in our project which will be run throughout 2010-2012 with  our partners.  “Kids Forget Traditional Street Games”This project aims to promote Street Games in our partner countries.

The game is a way to communicate and the cultural exchanges made us closer one from another. The main goal of the project is to encourage students to learn about  playing games is the way for children to learn, to explore, to know, to imagine, to share, to create, everything they do has to do with games, for them, even the most serious things have a game-like side  because games is something serious to them. The Children's Traditional Games Project will help children share their games across all boundaries of borders, languages, and oceans.  For all their tomorrows, the children will feel a little closer  in European countries. The game itself is the expression of peace agreement and sympathy among people. It is also well known that the game anticipates children's adaptation for their adult life.
A subsidiary aim of this project is for teachers to employ cutting edge pedagogical methods and teaching strategies used in partner countries to improve the teaching and learning of literacy skills. Another subsidiary aim is to motivate the learners to learn foreign languages at a very young age. Through the authentic learning tasks integrated in this project, the learners will have the opportunity not only to interact in another language, but also to implicitly enhance their cross cultural understanding.

Another intended outcome of this project is that the learners will become better users of ICT, since they will communicate with their friends from the partner countries and they will also be required to accomplish several tasks by using multiple information technologies; a task that will foster their skills for communication in preparation for today’s advanced technological society.

Finally, this project also aims to provide children with special needs with the facilities and means to be able to participate actively in this scheme of work.
